Sacred Number

The simpler scientific calculators are ideal (though often being short of memories) for working on numerical relationships in the real quantities found in astronomical time periods and also in the metrology of monuments or the lengths between these.

Any two measures involve two quantities in a ratio that is, in relation to each other.

The synodic period of Saturn and Jupiter are 378.09 days and 398.88 days. These are the times they take to repeat synodic behavious, most practically, the time between their looping when opposite to the Sun seen from Earth.

Their ratio is 398.88 over 378.09 and a calculator will give the result as 1.0549869 and further decimals depending on how accurate your calculator is; often they show 8 to 10 places of decimals. 

The first thing to do with such a ratio of similar number is subtract one, to reveal the decimal part. This part is the difference in their rates of synodic motion and this difference will then divide into the whole ecliptic. This division is simply achieved using the reciprocal button on the calculator, a function found in a scientific calculator and not a simple one suitable for your finances. 

The reciprocal yields 18.186147 and this means that approximately the Jupiter synod is 19 relative to saturn's 18 units long. If the periods are considered as whole days however, they are 399 and 378 days long and the ratio then is exactly 18:19. This was the relation revealed through the Disk of Chronos, based upon the seven day week, the units then being 3 week periods. I couldn't find this in my usual work since I only use exact time periods and high accuracy before I think there is a low number relationship to high accuracy. In Matrix of Creation therefore, all accuracies are very high and this limited my ability to see some relationships that could have been significant to ancient peoples, measured in whole days which was the most likely way they would have counted time periods.

One can achieve very high periods using "primitive" day counts however. This is done by taking long counts over many cycles of celestial phenomenon. In fact this is very important anyway since some astronomical time periods, especially those of the Moon, can vary in length. It is the average that is important and so in general one uses the average figure given in astronomical tables. 

A much more accurate type of result can show a Golden Mean relationship between Jupiter and Saturn, remarked on in Matrix of Creation. If the solar year of 365.242 days is subtracted from the Saturn synod then the result is 12.848 days. If  the Saturn synod is then subtracted from the Jupiter synod then the result is 20.79 days.  When 20.79 is divided by 12.848 the result is 1.617989 which is quite accurately the Golden Mean with is 1.618034.

Finding that ratios are not perfect integer ones can sometimes be due to the fact that these bodies are not able to have a near perfect relationship since the matrix of all the planetary relationships have to work simultaneously. It appears rather that the "design" lies behind implementation and that the many low whole number relations would conflict. This is a problem with the number field itself in that only some combinations are possible: some near perfect and other merely close to ideality. The main significance is that there are far too many coherent relationships for the planetary matrix, seen from Earth, to be scientifically plausable. Therefore an alternative paradigm is required on which order of a cosmic principle for reasons not known (yet) to science.

Being relatively simple, the relationships can be discovered using a simple scientific calculator and hence potentially discoverable by anyone who chooses to investigate in this way. 

I haven't got much into crop circles, partly because I was warned it is a contradictory area by a researcher in the field (excuse the pun). [ see also Metrology of Crop Circles]

However, my brother sent me a picture of a crop circle design that brilliantly interprets Metatron's Cube, the root three based geometry that figures in Chapter 10 of Sacred Geometry and that is, essentially, the same geometry forming the basis of the Gothic Revival in medieval times. It is the emblem of whatever hidden change occurred in the West around about the time of the First Crusade, almost certainly associated with Islamic architecture and possibly to indigenous and Jewish sacred, but by then secret, traditions.

When circles are packed together from a centre (empty in the above picture) a set of "Metatronic numbers" evolve outwards from concentric rings containing  1, 6, 12, 18 circles.  One should note that the accumulating count from the centre form the numbers 1, 7, 19, 37, 61 ... as per

1 + 6 = 7 and then

7 + 12 = 19 and then

19 + 18 = 37, and then

37 + 24 = 61

61 + 30 = 91 circles contained.

These circles touch each other at points that form a hexagon upon each circle. A hexagon is a cube seen sideways (axiometrically). These hexagon numbers and the hexagon/ cube idea is important within Jewish religious thought emerging from the Old Testament, and religions based upon it. [Read about Metatron's Cube  at Wikipedia]

From my work in Matrix of Creation and Sacred Number, the four numbers 7, 19, 37 and 61 have an immediate relationship to astronomy and time as

1. Seven days is the basis of the week, based upon the concrete division into the Eclipse Seasons, the Saturnian and Jovian synodic periods and the the "Saturnian year" of 364 days.
2. 19 years is the period of the Moon's Metonic period within which the Sun, Moon, and Star repeat their orientation in the Sky
3. 37 is the number of lunar months in three years
4. 61 is, in days, one sith of the Practical Year (365 days) in sidereal days, i.e. rotations of the Earth relative to the stars and not the Sun.
   

Since "canonical numbers" only have the primes 2 and 3 in their compositions, they are naturally multiples of six, or 2 x 3, and in this crop circle there are 36 around the outside. We should note then that these packing numbers have a relationship to the canonical because the outer rings always divide by six and yet the number added to them is canonical itself but plus one. This forms a relationship, in expansion or growth, about a root-three geometry in that the two dimensional "volume" of what is contained is (canonical+1) .

Adding one to a canonical number will inevitably lead to a non-canonical number, in this case they are significant prime numbers. The first four numbers relate to the Moon's orbit and the rotation of the Earth.

The 36 around the circumference is repeated four times, equalling 144 or 12 times 12 and canonically ideal. However, the whole number gods that churn the ocean are balanced with another species, the transfinite demons (see chapter 7) epitomised by the inner planets, root three and the golden mean.

The Metatron's Cube part of this crop circle design has 18 cubes or 19 were the central one shown. the ratio 18:19 is that between the synodic periods of Saturn and Jupiter measured in units of three weeks or 21 days. This was not noted in Sacred Number because, by chapter 10, Metatron was one of the last elements tying up the root-three geometrical theme and the book was concluding with the City of New Jerusalem cube measuring 12,000 (feet) on each side.

An alternative view is the New Jerusalem pattern of John Michel, based upon canonical measures that divide by twelve around the perimeter, a perimeter that is then "squared" rather than a cube. Thus this crop circle strangely portrays two views of New Jerusalem, the canonical and the Metatronic. Were this the case then the precedent is that of a duality, a light and dark side, an outer and inner face of the same phenomenon. Rene Guenon especially remarks upon this in this book Lord of the World chapter 3 called Shekinah and Metatron in which he says

Although Mikaël is identified with Metatron, he represents only one aspect. Beside the luminous face, there is a dark face represented by Samaël, also known as Sarhaolam— in fact, it is this latter aspect, and it only, which symbolizes in a lower sense the 'spirit of the world', or the Princeps hujus mundi referred to in the Gospels. Samaël's relationship with Metatron, as the latter's shadow, so to say, justifies the use of the same title in a twofold sense as well as making it clear why the 'number of the beast', the apocalytic 666, is also a solar number.''  To quote Saint Hippolytus in conclusion: 'The Messiah and the Anti-Christ both have the lion for their emblem', another solar symbol. The same remarks may be applied to the serpent and to many other symbols. From a Kabbalistic viewpoint, we have here the two opposite faces of Metatron; we need not go into the theories we might formulate on this double meaning of symbols, only noting that the confusion between the luminous and the dark aspects is what properly constitutes 'Satanism'. It is precisely this confusion that allows some, unintentionally and through simple ignorance (an excuse, not a justification), to believe that an infernal significance is to be found in the title 'Lord of the World'.
[Let us further point out that the `Globe of the World', insignia of imperial power of universal monarchy, is frequently placed in the hand of Christ, which shows that he is the emblem of spiritual authority as well as of temporal power.]

Interestingly, the number 666 is also of astronomical significance. many years ago I looked at the motion of the Moon's orbit (apogee) viz the nodes of that orbit. I will make another entry on this but the two meet every six
years and hence in 6 + 6 + 6 years = 18 years, the conditions are the same regarding the distance of the Moon and its nodes that generate eclipses. It so happens that this almost exactly matches the Saros period of 18.03 years which is why that period is the most reliable rule:  "if there was an eclipse at such a moment, then 18 years hence, a similar one will almost certainly occur". The Saros is 19 eclipse years long (18:19 again) and there are 223 lunar months also in the same period.

In this way the design of the planetary environment seen from Earth contains key numbers that are quite small and are very significantly "chosen" to operate together. As I point out in Matrix of Creation, these numbers are a unique configuration within the field of number itself and form a "master class" in the behaviour of number itself, a theme that continues in Sacred Number. This led to the tradition of the Demiurge or craftsman god, called Smith.
